Easy and Major Tips to Upgrade Your Space in 2025. An enlightening interview with WLWT's Sheree Paolello and Ashley Kirklen

Kitchens and Baths:

This is a big one, especially for those of us looking to upgrade the value of our home.  For the kitchen, we are still seeing a move to a more open floor plan which integrates the actual kitchen area with a functional/conversational island along with a sitting area for even better entertaining. For bathrooms, a spa-like master suite is always a huge improvement with bonus features such as upgraded shower fixtures, stand-alone tubs, heated floors and towel racks.

Softer tones overall:

We are seeing a big shift from the pure whites leaning into creams, earthy neutrals and nature-inspired colors such as sage green. This can be as simple as repainting your walls or even your cabinets.

Moody Woods tones:

Embrace more warm, rich wood tones in your space such a light stained maple, walnut and even mahogany. You can do this though replacing smaller furnishings such as a cocktail table, side tables, or even re-staining your kitchen cabinets if they are currently natural wood.

Rich color palettes in smaller, less-used spaces:

A perfect example of this would be a powder room.  You can easily paint your walls a deep rich color such as emerald green, wallpaper with a deep bold pattern, or if you are feeling artsy go for an abstract hand painted design. These ideas work great when mixed with softer neutrals as it balances the room out.

Update your cabinetry hardware:

This may seem obvious but changing out your cabinetry hardware to a sleeker profile and new finish such as brushed gold/brass, charcoal, or black can really make a pop.
